Half-lives of Vicodin ingredients:

  • Hydrocodone half-life – 3.8 hours
  • Acetaminophen half-life – Between 1-4 hours

Consequently, hydrocodone will take around 21 hours and acetaminophen between 5.5-22 hours to be excreted from the system.

While it may be concluded that Vicodin will be eliminated from your system 22 hours after a dose, variables like the age, body mass, food intake, hydration levels, dosage and duration of administration must be taken into consideration.
