What is Tylenol

Tylenol is a medication with the active ingredient acetaminophen, primarily used to treat pain and fever, and may also be used for a cough, cold, headache, influenza, and allergies.



How long does Tylenol stay in your body

Acetaminophen has an elimination half-life between 1 and 4 hours. Thus, 5.5-22 hours after you last took Tylenol; its main ingredient will have been excreted from your system.

There are certain variables that may increase or decrease this time-frame, they are:

  • Liver conditions
  • Urinary pH
  • Duration of Tylenol administration
