How long does niacin stay in the system

Niacin has a terminal half-life between 20-45 minutes, as a result, it is expected to be cleared from your system around 1 hour 50 minutes and 4 hours 7 minutes after you last take it.

This timeframe is however likely to vary depending on the following factors:

  • Age
  • Body mass and fat
  • Niacin format (ER or IR)
  • Kidney and liver conditions
  • Metabolic rate
  • Other drugs ingested

Does niacin help pass drug test

Niacin does help you to pass a drug test as long as it has at least 2-3 days to cleanse your body of toxins. Any less than that and niacin will likely let you down.
