Alcohol is metabolized by your body at a rate of .015 of blood alcohol concentration (BAC) per hour. This is constant regardless of your height, weight, age or other individual conditions.

If a person has drank to reach a BAC level of 0.10. This concentration will diminish every hour by 0.015. So an hour after he’s had is drink, his BAC will get reduced to 0.085 i.e. 0.10-0.015. Every passing hour the BAC will keep decreasing, until at the end of the 7th hour, his BAC will reach zero, thus completely ridding his body of alcohol.

BAC is generally tested with the help of a breathalyzer or an alcohol test kit.

It is important to keep in mind that the legal BAC limit for driving is 0.08. So if you have a BAC level more than that, driving can land you in deep trouble by way of an accident or with the law.
